why

...is it 11 pm and i'm posting a blog instead of sleeping?

...do i have a pretty long to-do list and i just spent an hour scrapping?

...is the sky blue?

...do little doggies jump on us?

okay, enough of the questioning myself. i didn't feel like i could sleep tonight without a little scrap therapy. so i made the wonder woman and the grandmother page. i must admit i've felt a tad bit frenzied (okay, a lot) and this is what i do when i allow 'frenziness' to begin creeping up on me. i wish it drove me to exercise or to clean out the fridge or rake the yard. and i've never said to myself, "I must fold some laundry before I lose it!" but hey, preserving memories sure beats some other inviting alternatives!

i made the summer page a while back and it's not quite done yet. i'm not sure what it needs but i've been looking at it off and on for about a month and i can't figure it out. the pink cardstock is way more vibrant than the scan lets on. i think it's the funky title that i don't like but i'm too lazy to change right now until i come up with the perfect solution!

we went to canton.
we didn't sell clipboards.
we're glad we went anyway!
we wouldn't want to spend the rest of our lives wishing we had tried this or that!
lessons learned.
hard work done.
gonna have an online store soon!

500 clipboards $600
paint and ribbon $300

This is our booth when we first arrived at around 2 pm on Thursday and it was sleeting. We quickly set up to take it all down in about an hour after we realized there were absolutely no shoppers!

This is me working on our first purchase!

This is my favorite shot of our set-up from across the pavillion! It was too cute!

Our wonderful product!

This is Carolyn working on one that she sold!

on the road again, just can't wait to get...

It's hustle and bustle around here lately. Carolyn and I found out late last week we got a booth in Canton, TX (the hugest flea market, EVER) for the December Trade Days. WOW!!!! Can you say nuts? They estimate 300,000 or more shoppers per weekend in the months leading up to Christmas. So, we quickly started ordering clipboards to paint, making phone calls for hotel rooms, and getting lists of supplies needed down on paper. Dude, I feel like I'm in a clipboard whirlwind, it's like a tornado around here trying to get everything all tidied up before the clipboards arrive tomorrow.... All this to say, if you want a clipboard within the next couple of weeks, you better get it ordered ASAP!!!! Otherwise, it will be post-Canton before I'm working on my orders again. Post-Canton is December 7 so if you're a last-minute-er like me and that works for you, you're hunky-dorey and ignore this post. If you are more of a planner and like to have all your ducks in a row way in advance, then this post is just for you!!!!

Oh, and here's two more designs I came up with...lots more possibilities so if you haven't seen something you like yet, just tell me and we can make one you like :)

quality control

here at half-tied ribbons quality control is of utmost importance. please rest assured that the items you order are hand-crafted by only the best employees...when they take a break from the disney channel to help. most of our hard-working employees wear pj's on the job, eat cherios for breakfast, take a mid-day nap and still need help wiping!

there's nothing like working from home! keep scrolling down to see what she's working on!
